    I think FOVE 0 doesn't support Windows 7.

Unfortunately, Windows 7 is not officially supported, yet. At the moment Windows 8.1 64-bit and Window 10 64-bit are supported. Please refer to https://www.getfove.com for full pc requirements.

Hi. I'd like to do a closed beta Windows 7 version. I'll be in touch when I've worked out a process to do so.

@Maz, could you upload a Windows 7 version ASAP? As Linux isn't supported yet, my only other choice is my Windows 7 dual-boot, I have no money to buy a Windows 8/10 licence. Counting on you, thanks.

Hi. Are you guys all running 64-bit Windows 7 SP1?

I have a (very rough) Windows 7 64-bit installer package now and I'm just working out the best way to create a private beta group. I can't guarantee that it'll work at all but your help and support testing it will speed things along.

I'm also running Win 7 64bit SP1 and just received my FOVE0 today.

I noticed the Win8.1+ requirement a couple of days ago and was, quite frankly, a little bit disappointed about that.

If you've got a beta Win7 installer to test, I'd be happy to give it a go.

Hi.  I've already received my FOVE but not work yet. I also use windows 7.

I need grade up someday, but not now. I want to use my FOVE with familiar system to me.

If I have a chance of joining closed beta test, I'd love to.

64-bit Windows 7 SP1, yes. I have tried installing Windows 10, but am encountering difficulties. Until Linux/Windows 7 support, I am still unable to develop with Fove or test it in any capacity. @Maz, I am relying on you, I'm keen to receive the Windows 7 build.

I'm trying to get a webform put up so that you can enter an email address and be sent a download link for Windows 7 64-bit.

This won't indicate any official support for Windows 7, but it means you will at least have something that it is *possible* to get running on Win 7, but may require additional steps that you might have to work out for yourselves. We're a very busy small team at the moment so please be patient.

    Thank you.

I should be able to help test Win 7 SP1 x64 - I have no intention of going to Win 10 anytime in the near future. :)

@Maz, can't you just paste a link here, and say it's unofficial? Forms and what-not are fancy, but I'd like to finally get up and running with Fove in some form. I'm happy with a limited version for the time-being, I'd rather Linux support anyway. I'll continue to be patient, it's nearly been a year since the initial proposed shipment date.

Hey guys! We are going to launch a small alpha testing group for 64-bit Windows 7 SP-1. We will keep the test group small at first, so if the amount of applicants gets really high, please understand that we will not be selecting everyone.

You can apply from the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/HnOGxn0P6CBwMY0i2

As mentioned, this doesn't mean official support for Windows 7, and you will probably still encounter errors that need to be solved. Maz is making final touches, and we will get back to you with installation instructions when we are ready with the preparations.

Thanks for posting the form. I feel a little bit like we're being taken hostage here, is there a reason why you can't upload the Windows 7 build for everyone who needs it, they know it is not 'officially' supported yet, then work with a small group of testers hand-picked from the form applications? Edit: I'm a little jaded because my Fove HMD is still incapacitated in a box, constant delays, I'm still not sure if it works, nor do I have source code access to attempt making Fove work for Linux.

Sorry for any misunderstandings. The reason why we are asking for people to apply through the form is that we can work more effectively with you guys. We'd like to share the link to the applicants first until the major glitches have been addressed, because if we make it publicly available straight away, we are going to be buried in support requests from inexperienced users. This should not make the process any slower, and we are able to send the download link to applicants as soon as it becomes available, and in addition we'll have an effective way to communicate with the test group.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. I'm still waiting on an email with the download link. Is there an ETA on when we're likely to expect this?
