    The Fove software is required for the headset to appear in device manager. What part of the prerequisites does your PC not meet?

    The internal monitor and eye tracking modules are powered off until the software is installed and running.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the information.

    Prerequisites not met :
    Windows : 7 (and I would like to stay with it)
    Graphic card : GTX 780 TI

    May be :
    In the documentation I saw .NET 4.5 full, I have .NET 4.6 (without indication about full) so am I ok with it ?

    Bye.

    Hello Patrick,

    My computer (2.5 year old laptop) doesn't meet the prerequisites neither :

    Graphic card : GTX 770M
    CPU : Intel Core i7-4700HQ @ 2.40GHz

    But I have Windows 10.

    The HMD doesn't appear as proper screen in Windows Display Configuration Panel. It's a bit strange to me too. So no need to setup the clone or extend mode.
    But once the Drivers installed following the Setup, the camera should light on green, and you should be able to see a star field in your Fove 0 ^^.

    But in Unity, with the test scene, I only have 17 fps maximum. I'll try with a bigger computer tonight.

    Regards,
    Quentin

    @Quentin FRANCOTTE :

    Your CPU seems ok for the prerequisites.

    I ran the setup 0.10.0 and the message is explicit :
    The operating system is not adequate for running FOVE VR.

    (I suppose it stops at the first missing prerequisite)

    @Maz :

    I read in another topic that you're working on a driver for windows 7,I hope it's not for too far...and if I can help...

    Regards,

    Pat

    Hey guys! We are going to launch a small alpha testing group for 64-bit Windows 7 SP-1.

    You can apply from the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/HnOGxn0P6CBwMY0i2

    As mentioned, this doesn't mean official support for Windows 7, and you will probably still encounter errors that need to be solved. Maz is making final touches, and we will get back to you with installation instructions when we are ready with the preparations.

    he reason why we are asking for people to apply through the form is that we can work more effectively with you guys. We'd like to share the link to the applicants first until the major glitches have been addressed, because if we make it publicly available straight away, we are going to be buried in support requests from inexperienced users. This should not make the process any slower, and we are able to send the download link to applicants as soon as it becomes available, and in addition we'll have an effective way to communicate with the test group.

    I'd second the earlier poster about the 'Get Started' being more of an inventory checklist, and not really giving any direction on how to actually get started.

    For example: what do each of the USB cables control? Are they both needed or only the USB3 one if you have that? How does the external camera factor in? All wquestions I would expect to see answered in a actual Getting Started.

    I saw in the FAQ that MacOS is not yet supported, but am disappointed that the FOVE headset is not still usable as a static HMD. Since I only have mac this is a major hurdle and has kept my FOVE in the box since receiving it. Is there any estimate on when even basic display functionality will be available for MacOS?
