    It could be an alpha channel issue, by the sounds of it, however I believed that these have been resolved, or at least been made harder to cause. I will refer this issue to one of our graphics engineers. Would you be happy to provide your source code or compiled application for us to work with? (over email or a private channel please). Can you make sure the alpha channel of whatever texture you are supplying to our base layer is set to 1? 

    If it is, can you check that the color space is also correct (linear) and that the texture format is RGBA8.

    ID3D11DeviceContext->ClearState() helps me. I call this method before FoveVRCompositor->Submit().

    It would be reasonable that Compositor clear state and setup environment itself.
