I have been thinking along the same lines, James.  There's no explicit support in the API for this use case, and I'm working on cobbling together some simple system to allow for a browser with a correction.  Easy case is to do a virtual prism (with added dimention of tilt).  The harder case is to do gaze reconstruction.

I have a Prism with a tilt, so I can not fully experience VR until that is corrected.  I would LOVE to see iris projection w/ eye tracking.  THEN the device can SELF CORRECT for ALL of your vision issues.  Imagine wearing a pare of glasses that self adjust to your eyes IMMEDIATELY.  No more different day and night glasses.

I would be interested in trying to prototype a solution for you guys. Can you please in detail describe what you are trying to do? Please attach any pictures or diagrams.

I 3D modeled what the calibration would require and have designed a method that you can apply to ANY game.  The only thing that is required is to figure out HOW to tilt and rotate each view cone accordingly.  I have even design the calibration track for your eyes to test for tilt and prism.

The orange cones are your eyes.  This can be done for those with one eye as well.  I can not attach the 3D model to this msg.  Can you provide a way for me to FTP or SFTP the 3D model to you?  Also,I WOULD LOVE to talk to you about how this model works. Prefered Office: 303.955.4544 or cell: 720.456.5869  I spoke with your TCO last year in Nov about some other ideas I have for improving the FOVE.
