Calibration and SteamVR Issues

    Hey Sam,

    So when using Steam you use the Steam VR compositor not the FOVE one.

    Assuming you've received a key & downloaded the driver:

    1. Right click on the FOVE Tray
    2. Disable the compositor autostart
    3. Open up steam
    4. Ensure the Steam VR Driver for FOVE is installed (Check under Library> Tools)
    5. Connect your FOVE
    6. Start the RUNTIME but not the compositor.
    7. Start up Steam VR
    8. Start up a game

    that should be it...

    Calibration Update:

    When attempting to calibrate the device, I get flooded with the following debug message:

    Companion received error EFVR_ErrorCode::Compositor_DeviceMismatch in state 5

    I resolved the calibration error by following this support link:

    Still in need of assistance with SteamVR
