    Hey there,

    Is your 950M set as the preferred GPU ?

    This may be of use: https://support.getfove.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003805333-Unable-to-connect-to-Direct-mode-NVIDIA-cards

    Yes, it is. I checked it again. The sendRequest(0) failed continuously.

    Hey Detlef,

    Do you install drivers manually or through windows update?

    It looks as though either the 950M SKU you have in your machine either doesn't support direct mode connections or, your laptop's manufacturer is playing funny buggers with the HDMI connections.

    Just to confirm, the FOVE is connected directly to a HDMI 1.4 + port and not going through any adapters.. ?

    Hi Jeremy

    I didn't install any drivers manually, only checked that the nvidia driver is up to date.

    And yes the FOVE is connected to the HDMI 1.4 port directly. Can I check the support of direct mode connection? Could it be the case, that the HDMI port is connected to the Intel HD Graphics? (I have an Acer Aspire F15). May be do you know a way to check and change this?

    I am very interested to see the solution for this. I have the same problem running on a Acer Aspire VX5-591g.

    Intel HD 630 integrated graphics card and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 gpu.

    I got the answer from Acer support, that the HDMI output is fix connected to the Intel graphic card and this is not configurable. So, it seems, that I can’t use the FOVE with my ACER Laptop, unless that there is another idea. Nevertheless, thank you Jeremy for your quick response.

    To add this : I also can see the FOVECOMPANION.EXE is running on the NVIDIA GPU Activity window when running FOVE VR as YT noticed.

    @Detlef,

    That seems myopic on the part of the manufacturer.

    If your Laptop has other GPU outs like maybe a display port it is in theory possible to use an adapter but - we in the office & customers out in the world have not had much luck in this area as our HDMI transfer is close to breaking the spec (too much signal being sent).

    Hope you have better luck with the other laptop.
