No Calibration, no stars but data incoming
Hi,
I get an extended desktop (2nd monitor) display through the Fove but no stars and no calibration. It seems like the calibration is starting and ending, but the display stays on the extended desktop. I have looked through most of the posts on this site and I could only find one possible cause on my system, but no solution for it.
I am running the Fove on a laptop computer that has 2 graphics cards: one integrated Intel HD Graphics 630 and one GeForce GTX 1050. It seems (on dxdiag) that the GTX is used only for rendering and not for display so it seems the hdmi is through the Intel.
Debug tool shows camera feed, orientation, position and eye tracking data properly.
Any idea how to resolve this?
Thank you

Hi YT,
You need to ensure that your computer's preferred GPU is set to the discrete one.
This should help:

Hey YT,
Thanks for the info and the diagnostics.
This seems kinda weird - from the display settings tab (the windows, not the NVIDIA one) the FOVE is showing up as a monitor so can you disable it there?
What does your laptop manufacturer say about the HDMI port? it's not bound to the Intel chip by any chance right?
